About Me

Born in Colorado and having moved around quite a bit growing up, I eventually found my way to the beautiful Hudson Valley of New York—and I’ve been lucky to call it home ever since. All that moving taught me something important:

Photographs became my way of remembering where I’d been and the people who mattered most. That deep love for capturing memories is exactly what inspires me to help others preserve theirs.

When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll probably find me out on the quads or UTV, spending time with my three dogs—Jack, Diesel, and Pickle—or working with my young mare, Beech. Animals are a huge part of my life, and they’re a big part of my photography too.

At Katie Marie Photography, I know that truly meaningful photos don’t just happen by chance. It takes a professional eye for lighting, composition, and connection—and the patience (and love!) to work with animals who don’t always feel like cooperating. As a fellow horse owner and lifelong equestrian, I get it. Sometimes the blooper shots turn out to be the most beautiful—because they capture the real spirit of your animal and the bond you share.
